James Brown

Jim Brown is the force behind IVM Consulting Ltd., acting as its owner and manager. Having spent thirty years working as a utility arborist with his hands, a Certified Utility Arborist (CUA), and a Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT), Jim has built a wealth of experience in the industry. In 2022, he is proud to have received his Utility Vegetation Management Professional Degree (UVMP) from the University of Wisconsin and is seeking his ISA Certified Arborist title.

During his 40-year career with vegetation management, Jim most recently served as forestry manager for a major utility, where he was committed to supervising a group dedicated to proficient utility vegetation management. Retired as of 2023, Jim is very interested in instructing others and improving the industry’s practices, desiring to add value to utility vegetation management in the future.
